Replacing interior lighting

Specification

Glove compartment





Removal

Remove:
- the lens by inserting a weatherstrip tool or similar under the edge and twisting
- the bulb.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Driver's side courtesy lighting





Removal

Remove:
- the lens by inserting a weatherstrip tool or similar under the edge and twisting
- the bulb.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Front interior lighting





Removal

Remove:
- the lens by inserting a weatherstrip tool or similar under the edge and twisting
- the bulb.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Vanity mirror





Removal

Remove:
- the lens carefully. Use a small screwdriver
- the bulb.

Replacing bulb holders
The complete sun visor must be replaced when replacing the bulb holder for the vanity mirror.
Follow the instructions for replacing sun visors. See Sun visor Sun Visor.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Reading lamp





Removal

Remove:
- the lens by inserting a weatherstrip tool or similar under the edge and twisting
- the lens reflector by carefully inserting a weatherstrip tool at the catches and pulling off the reflector
- the bulb.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Trip computer switch





Removal

Remove the panel according to Replacing switches Replacing Switches
Remove the bulb holder beside the connector by turning it half a turn using a screwdriver.
Remove the bulb holder and the bulb.

Reinstall:
- the bulb and bulb holder
- the panel according to Replacing switches Replacing Switches.

Comfort module





Removal

Remove the comfort module according to Comfort module Removal and Replacement.
Remove the three bulb holders on the reverse by the connector by turning the holders a quarter of a turn using a screwdriver.
Press out the bulb holder and the bulb.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Hazard warning signal flasher





Removal

Remove:
- the central ventilation vents according to The center ventilation vents in the dashboard The Center Ventilation Vents In The Dashboard
- the switch for the lamp by holding in the catches and pulling the switch backwards
- the bulb holder by turning it a quarter turn using a screwdriver
- the bulb.

Reinstall:
- the bulb and bulb holder
- the central ventilation vents according to The center ventilation vents in the dashboard The Center Ventilation Vents In The Dashboard.

The electrical socket - cigarette lighter assembly in the rear center console





Removal

Remove the electrical socket - cigarette lighter assembly according to Replacing the cigarette lighter - electrical socket Removal and Replacement
Disconnect the cable terminal from the pin.
Remove the bulb holder by inserting a small screwdriver in the gap and carefully turning while pressing.
Remove the bulb.

Reinstall:
- the bulb and bulb holder
- the electrical socket - cigarette lighter assembly according to Replacing the cigarette lighter - electrical socket Removal and Replacement.

Light switch





Removal
Remove the light switch (two screws).

Hint: Pull forward lightly.
Pull down and forwards again.

Remove the bulb holder backwards using narrow round-nosed pliers.

Installation
Reinstall in reverse order.

Gear shift selector, automatic transmissions





Removal
Remove the panel on the center console on the driver's side. See Center console panels Center Console Panels
Remove the bulb holder and remove the bulb.

Reinstall:
- the bulb and bulb holder
- the panel on the center console on the relevant side. See Center console panels Center Console Panels.

Mode selector switch for automatic transmissions





Removal

Remove:
- the center console according to Front center console Front Center Console
- the bulb holder by turning it a quarter turn using a screwdriver
- the bulb.

Reinstall:
- the bulb and bulb holder
- the center console according to Front center console Front Center Console.
