Preparatory work

Remove the wheel.

Removal

Removing the shock absorber




Remove the 2 screws.




Remove the screw, x1.

Transferring components
Transfer the shock absorber bearing, bump stop and dust boot. See: Upper bushing shock absorber, M56, AW50/51 AWD, M66 AWD, M66, MMT6, MTX75, IB5, AW55-50/51SN Upper Bushing Shock Absorber.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications. [1][2]Specifications

Installing the shock absorber

Install:
- the shock absorber
- the 2 x M8 screws for the upper mounting
- the screw for the lower section. Tighten. See: Tightening torque [1][2]Specifications.

Finishing

Install the wheel. See: Wheels Service and Repair.
Check and adjust the headlamps in accordance with: Headlamps, adjusting Headlamps, Adjusting Headlamps, adjusting Headlamps, Adjusting.
