Wheel bearings and wheel hubs, front

Preparatory work

Remove the wheel spindle. See: Wheel knuckle front Service and Repair.

Removal

Removing wheel bearings




Secure the wheel knuckle in a hydraulic press. Use socket: 999 7090 Press tool 999 7090 Press Tool and drift: 999 1801 STANDARD SHAFT 999 1801 Standard Shaft with: 999 5137 PUNCH 999 5137 Punch.
Press out the bearing.

Installation

Installing wheel bearing




Position both halves of 7090-1 between the bearing and the hub.




Position the bearing together with 7090-1 on socket: 999 7090 Press tool 999 7090 Press Tool. Position the wheel spindle and drift 7090-2. Press in the bearing.

Finishing

Install the wheel spindle. See: Wheel knuckle front Service and Repair.
