Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair






Oil pressure sensor, replacing

Removal

Removing protective plate




Remove the 6 screws.





Note! There is a guide sleeve on the upper mounting for the plate. This must be lifted slightly so that the panel can be slid forward.

Lift and slide the protective plate forward. Remove the protective plate.

Removing the splash guard under the engine





Remove:
- the 6 screws
- the splash guard under the engine

Removing the oil pressure sensor




Unplug the connector from the sensor.
Remove the oil pressure sensor from the engine block.

Hint: Catch any oil spills with paper or the like.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see Specifications, B8444S Tightening Torque.

Installing the oil pressure sensor
Install the oil pressure sensor. ApplyLoctite 962to the sensor and tighten as specified: Tightening torque, B8444S Tightening Torque.
Plug in the connector to the oil pressure sensor.

Installing the splash guard under the engine





Install:
- the splash guard under the engine
- the 6 M8 screws; tighten.

Installing the protective plate





Install:
- the protective plate
- the 6 screws; tighten.

Finishing
Start the engine and check for leaks and proper function.
