Propeller Shaft






Propeller shaft, replacing

Special tools:
999 7057 Counterhold 999 7057 Counterhold

Removal

Note! Move the gear selector to the P-position.











Note! If the same propeller shaft is to be installed, mark the position of the flange against the propeller shaft.








Hang the exhaust system.

Note! Do not angle down the exhaust system so that the rear end catches the bumper.





Use 999 7057 Counterhold 999 7057 Counterhold.

Note! If the same propeller shaft is to be installed, mark the position of the flange against the propeller shaft.





Note! Take care when the front constant velocity joint passes the heat shield on the center bearing.

Installation

Note! For tightening torques, see: Tightening Torque








Note! Adjust the heatshield.





Use new screws.
Tighten. See: Tightening Torque
Use 999 7057 Counterhold 999 7057 Counterhold.

Note! If the same propeller shaft is installed, install according to the previous marking.

Use new screws.
