Transmission, removing

Note! Some variation in the illustrations may occur, but the essential information is always correct.
Removal
Remove the following items:
- the air cleaner (ACL) housing Refer to: Air cleaner housing Service and Repair
- the battery. Refer to: Battery Removal and Replacement
- the left drive shaft. Refer to: Driveshaft left, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S4, TF-80SC, B6324S5, TF-80SC AWD, B6324S5, TF-80SC Driveshaft Left
- the left hand exhaust pipe. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, left-hand Exhaust Manifold, Left-Hand
- the right hand exhaust pipe. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, right-hand Exhaust Manifold, Right-Hand.

Remove the bevel gear. Refer to: Bevel gear Bevel Gear.
Turn the next screw forward.
Caution! Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Lower the left hand side of the engine/transaxle approximately 60 mm.

Caution! Caution! Make sure that the gearbox is removed straight in relation to the engine to prevent damage to the pilot bearing.
Note! Ensure that the torque converter is removed with the transaxle and does not slide off the stator shaft. Press a screwdriver through one of the screw holes in the flexplate.
Remove the following items:
- the starter motor. Refer to: Starter motor Service and Repair
- bracket.
