Climate Control Exhaust Gas Sensor: Service and Repair






Air quality sensor, replacing

As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Preparations
Remove the plenum chamber.
Open the damper for the air intake.

Removing the air quality sensor




Turn the sensor approximately 60° counter-clockwise (see the illustration).
Slightly pull out the sensor and cable to access the connector.
Disconnect the connector.

Installing the air quality sensor




Connect the connector.
Insert as much of the cable through the hole as possible.
Position the sensor and seal (the flat side must face upwards) in the groove. The sensor can only be positioned one way in the groove (see the illustration).
Turn the sensor approximately 60° clockwise until it will not turn any further. Check that the air quality sensor is securely in place.
Ensure that the cable is as far in as possible.
Close the damper for the air intake.
Install the plenum chamber.
