Preparatory work

Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting.
This procedure requires that the car is raised. Refer to: Jacking points, body Service and Repair.

Remove:
- the valve covers. Refer to: Valve cover/gasket, replacing, B8444S Service and Repair
- auxiliaries belt/tensioner. Refer to: Auxiliaries belt/belt tensioner, replacement, B8444S Service and Repair
- upper torque rod. Refer to: Replacing the torque rod Replacing The Torque Rod
- engine pad right. Refer to: Engine pad, right, replacement, B8444S Engine Pad Right, Replacing














Tighten M10. Tightening torque, B8444S [1][2]Specifications





Tighten M6. Refer to: Tightening torque, B8444S [1][2]Specifications

Installation










Note! Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.

Use: Sealant, 30757050

Caution! Take extra care not to damage the mating faces.

Note! Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Note! The component must be installed within 5 minutes of applying the sealant.

Tighten centre bolt, idler roller. Refer to: Tightening torque, B8444S [1][2]Specifications

Install the following items:
- valve cover Refer to: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting
- tensioner accessories belt Refer to: Auxiliaries belt/belt tensioner, replacement, B8444S Service and Repair
- engine support insulator, right Refer to: Engine pad, right, replacement, B8444S Engine Pad Right, Replacing

- Upper torque rod Refer to: Replacing the torque rod Replacing The Torque Rod

Perform battery disconnecting and connecting Refer to: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting
