Decklid Release Switch - Installation

INSTALLATION





1. Align the deck lid release switch button with the clearance hole in the back of the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) unit housing (1).
2. Push the switch straight into the clearance hole through the back of the CHMSL housing until the switch mounting flange (2) is firmly seated against the CHMSL housing.
3. Install and tighten the two screws (3) that secure the deck lid release switch to the back of the CHMSL housing. Tighten the screws securely.
4. Engage the deck lid release switch connector (4) and pigtail wire harness with the retention features on the back of the CHMSL housing.
5. Reinstall the CHMSL unit (1) onto the deck lid. Center Mounted Brake Lamp - Installation.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
