Decklid Release Switch - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) unit (1) from the deck lid. Center Mounted Brake Lamp - Removal.
3. Disengage the deck lid release switch connector (4) and pigtail wire harness from the retention features on the back of the CHMSL housing.
4. Remove the two screws (3) that secure the deck lid release switch mounting flange (2) to the back of the CHMSL housing.
5. Pull the switch straight out from the clearance hole through the back of the CHMSL housing.
