How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





DOOR / HATCH: TAIL GATE CLOSER SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT*

(a) Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

(b) Check for DTC's Tail Gate Closer System.

(c) Clear the DTC's Tail Gate Closer System.

(d) Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

(e) Recheck for DTC's Tail Gate Closer System.
