DTC Logic


DTC DETECTION LOGIC







DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

- Turn power switch OFF and wait at least 20 seconds.
- Make sure that 12V battery voltage is 11 V or more.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT
1.Turn power switch ON and wait at least 5 seconds.
2.Check self-diagnostic result.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to "Diagnosis Procedure" .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER POWER SUPPLY

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect DC/DC junction box harness connector.
3.Turn power switch ON.
4.Check the voltage between DC/DC junction box harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 5.
NO- GO TO 2.

2. CHECK FUSE

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Pull out #74 fuse and check fuse is not fusing.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Replace the fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.

3. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-I

1.Check the continuity between fuse terminal and DC/DC junction box harness connector.





2.Also check harness for short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

4. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-II

1.Remove M/C relay.
2.Check the continuity between M/C relay harness connector and fuse terminal.





3.Also check harness for short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform trouble diagnosis for M/C relay routing circuit. Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure" M/C Relay.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

5. CHECK DC/DC CONVERTER ACTIVATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.Turn power switch OFF.
2.Disconnect VCM harness connector.
3.Check the continuity between VCM harness connector and DC/DC junction box harness connector.





4.Also check harness for short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 6.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

6. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Check intermittent incident. Refer to "Intermittent Incident" Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 7.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

7. REPLACE DC/DC JUNCTION BOX

1.Replace DC/DC junction box. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
2.Erase DTC.
3.Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to "DTC Logic" .
Is the DTC detected again?
YES- Replace VCM. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Removal And Installation.
NO- INSPECTION END
