Preliminary work

1. Remove the front apron. -> 631519 Removing and installing front apron - section on "Removing"
2. Remove spray nozzle. -> 92721900 Removing and installing spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
3. Remove auxiliary headlights. -> 947119 Removing and installing auxiliary headlights - section on "Removing" 947119 Removing and installing auxiliary headlight

Removing light bulb for front direction indicator

Information

- Each auxiliary headlight contains two light bulbs for the respective front direction indicator.

1. Open the cover on the back of the auxiliary headlight. Turn in the correct direction (see marking on cover).

2. Carefully release clip on light bulb socket -A- using a screwdriver.

3. Release light bulb socket by turning it (bayonet lock) and remove it from the auxiliary headlight.

4. Disconnect plug-in contacts from the light bulb socket using a small screwdriver.

Installing light bulb for front direction indicator

1. Insert plug-in contacts into the light bulb socket.

2. Insert light bulb socket into the auxiliary headlight and turn to lock it (bayonet lock) until the clip -A- engages audibly on the light bulb socket.

3. Position cover on the back of the auxiliary headlight and lock it. Turn in the correct direction (see marking on cover).
