Adjusting the dashboard





Installation position of dashboard

Information

- There must be an even transition between the dashboard and the door panels. The dashboard should be centred in the vehicle so that the gaps with respect to the door panels are the same width on both sides.

1. Check the installation position of the dashboard. To do this, check the gap dimension and height difference between the dashboard -1- and door panels -2- visually and adjust the dashboard if necessary.

2. If the gap dimension and height difference are not correct, the difference by which the dashboard is set incorrectly must be noted. The dashboard support will be adjusted horizontally and vertically by this difference later.

4. Loosen all fastening screws and fastening nuts for the dashboard support from the body.-> 516819 Removing and installing dashboard support - section on "Removing" 516819 Removing and Installing Dashboard Support
5. Adjust the dashboard support horizontally and vertically according to the noted values so that it is positioned correctly.
6. Check gap dimensions and height differences again.

8. Check the gap dimension and height difference -arrows- between the dashboard -1- and door panels -2- again.
