Preliminary work

Removing motor for sun blind

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.

- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.

- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.





Installation position of motor for sun blind

1. Pull lock for electric plug connection -2- off the sunroof motor -A-.

2. Release electric plug connection -2- for sunroof motor -a- and pull it off -B-.
3. Unscrew fastening screws -3- on motor for sun blind -1-.

4. Remove the motor.

Installing motor for sun blind

1. Align the sun blind so that it is parallel.
1.1. The sun blind must be parallel before installing the motor.
1.2. Set the same distance -a- from the front edge -4- and sun blind module -5- on both sides.





Aligning sun blind

2. Carefully position the motor in installation position so that the bores for screwing the motor to the frame are aligned.

Information

Do not continue to turn the motor after inserting the pinion into the drive cables because if you do, the control bolts will move closer together.

3. Press the motor into position.
4. Tighten fastening screws -3- on sun blind motor -1- to => Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ftlb.).

5. Connect plug connection for sun blind motor -2-.
