Removing main headlights

NOTICE

Voltage peaks

- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

-> Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

Risk of damage to headlights due to chafing and excessive temperatures.

Headlights must not be covered when they are switched on, e.g. wing protector or film.

Switch off the ignition.

Information

- If the Bi-Xenon main headlight is replaced, the gas discharge control unit from the old main headlight must be installed in the new one. -> 945719 Removing and installing control module for gas discharge lamp 945719 Removing and installing control unit for gas-discharge headlight

Information

- When working, carrying out tests or adjusting headlights on the Cayenne or when it is in the workshop, a battery charging unit with a rated current of at least 40 A must be connected.

- As soon as the vehicle is unlocked, e.g. the vehicle is in the workshop or salesroom, it must be trickle-charged with a battery charging device.





Installation position of main headlight

1. Remove main headlight.

1.1. Place the socket wrench from the tool kit on the release axle.
1.2. Release the main headlight by turning in direction of arrow.
1.3. Remove main headlight from the mounting by pulling it forward.
2. Release plug connection -2- and pull it off -a-.

1. Plug in connector -2- on the main headlight until it engages securely.

2. Install main headlight.





Fitting main headlight

2.1. Slide the main headlight -1- in as far as it will go.

2.2. Close the locking mechanism by turning the socket wrench as far as it will go.

2.3. Then check that the headlight is seated securely.
