Preliminary work

Information

Open rear door window => Adjustment value: 200 mm+/-2 mm from top edge of vehicle door.





Opening rear door window

1. Remove rear door panel. -> 707319 Removing and installing rear door panel - section on "Removing" 707319 Removing and installing rear door panel

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Pull off the rear window guide in the C-pillar area.
2. Remove two stoppers -3- from the door sub-frame.

3. Move the door window down until the clamping screws on the mounting pieces for the window lifter are visible through the opening.

Information

Make sure to loosen the fastening screws for the mounting pieces to the right from this side.

4. Loosen fastening screws on the mounting pieces -4-.

5. Lift the door window up out of the guide and remove it.

Installing rear door window

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Fit door window glass into the guide.

2. Fit door window glass as far as it will go into the mounting pieces for the window lifter without forcing it.
3. Check that the window glass is parallel to the window guide close to the B-pillar.
4. Tighten fastening screws for mounting pieces -4- => Tightening torque: 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.) to the left.

5. Fit two stoppers -3- in the door sub-frame.

6. Insert rear window guide.

1. Install covers for rear door. -> 669419 Removing and installing covers for rear door - section on "Installing" 669419 Removing and installing covers for rear door
2. Install rear door panel. -> 707319 Removing and installing rear door panel - section on "Installing" 707319 Removing and installing rear door panel
