Preliminary work

1. Remove moulding for front door. -> 663319 Removing and installing A-pillar moulding - section on "Removing" 66331903 Removing and installing trim strip for rear door or 66331901 Removing and installing trim strip for front door
2. Remove front B-pillar cover. -> 669419 Removing and installing B-pillar covers - section on "Removing" 66941901 Removing and installing front B-pillar cover

Removing front window guide

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.

1. Pull the front window guide off the door frame.
If you intend to re-use the window guide, make sure it is not kinked or bent.

2. Pull the front window guide off the front corner window pane.

3. Remove the front window guide completely.

Installing front window guide

Information

To make it easier to install the window guide in the door channel area, this section of the window guide must be moistened with a soapy solution.

Information

1. Fit front window guide at the triangular window -3-.
Do not kink or bend the window guide out of shape during installation.

2. Fit the window guide into the front corner window pane.

3. Fit the window guide on the door window frame at the top and rear.
Check that the window guide is seated securely.

Subsequent work

1. Install front B-pillar cover. -> 669419 Removing and installing B-pillar covers - section on "Installing" 66941901 Removing and installing front B-pillar cover
2. Install moulding for front door. -> 663319 Removing and installing A-pillar moulding - section on "Installing" 66331903 Removing and installing trim strip for rear door or 66331901 Removing and installing trim strip for front door
