- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.
- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.
- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.
1. Unscrew fastening nut from ground point -1- at the right wheel housing.
2. Release and unplug two electric plug connections -2- for connection point on right wheel housing.

4. Release and unplug electric plug connection -4- for rear PDCC valve unit. -> 430419 Removing and installing valve block - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
5. Release and unplug electric plug connection -5- for connection point on rear apron. -> 635519 Removing and installing rear apron - section on "Removing"
6. Unscrew fastening nut from ground point -6- behind the wheel housing.
7. Release and unplug electric plug connection -7- for buzzer for rear parking aid. -> 917619 Removing and installing buzzer for rear parking aid - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
8. Release and unplug two electric plug connections -10- for connection point on tailgate. -> 972719 Removing and installing wire harness for tailgate - section on "Removing" 972719 Removing and installing wire harness for tailgate
9. Release and unplug electric plug connection -11- for head airbag unit. -> 696619 Removing and installing head airbag unit - section on "Removing" 696619 Removing and Installing Head Airbag Unit
10. Release and unplug electric plug connection -13- for seat-belt pretensioner. -> 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point belt - section on "Removing" 691219 Removing and installing rear three-point belt

11. Loosen eight fastenings -1- for line for the right side.
12. Loosen two fastenings -2- for line for subwoofer.

13. Press rubber sleeve -3- on line for the PDCC valve block inwards and pull the line through.
14. Press rubber sleeve -4- on line for the rear apron inwards and pull the line through.
15. Loosen two fastenings -5- for line for the tail light.
16. Press rubber sleeve -6- on line for the tail light inwards and pull the line through.
17. Loosen four fastenings -7- for line on the wheel housing.
18. Loosen seven fastenings -8- for line for the connection point on the rear lid.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order.
2. First lay the main wire harness loosely in the engine compartment, ensuring that it is positioned correctly.

3. Fit fastenings and rubber sleeves -1 + 2- and -3 - 8-.
4. Tighten fastening nuts on ground points -1- and -6- to => Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.).
5. Plug in electric plug connections -2 + 3- and -4 - 13- until they engage securely.
Subsequent work
