2AZ-FE INTAKE: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Removal

5. REMOVE HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Removal

6. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

7. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Removal

9. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE Removal

12. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY Removal

13. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Release the claw and remove the EFI fuel pipe clamp.

(b) Pinch the retainer as illustrated, then pull the fuel tube connector out of the pipe.

NOTICE:
* Remove any dirt and foreign matter from the fuel tube connector before performing this work.
* Do not allow any scratches or foreign matter on the parts when disconnecting, as the fuel tube connector has O-rings that seal the pipe.
* Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools.
* Do not forcibly bend, kink or twist the nylon tube.
* Protect the disconnected parts by covering them with vinyl bags after disconnecting the fuel tube.
* If the fuel tube connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull to release them.

14. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 4 fuel injector connectors and the oil control valve connector.

(b) Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor connector.

(c) Disengage the 4 wire harness clamps and separate the wire harness.

(d) Disengage the clamp and separate the fuel tube sub-assembly.

(e) Remove the 2 bolts and the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

(f) Remove the 2 No. 1 delivery pipe spacers.

(g) Remove the 4 injector vibration insulators.

15. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose.

(b) Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.

(d) Remove the No. 1 intake manifold to head gasket.

(e) Remove the No. 2 ventilation hose.

(f) Remove the bolt and the vacuum hose clamp.

(g) Disengage the hose clamp and remove the union to connector tube hose.
