B2314 - Passenger Side Motor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The power window regulator motor is operated by the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator assembly. The power window regulator master switch assembly has motor, regulator and ECU functions.
These DTCs are output when the power window regulator motor assembly (for driver side and front passenger side) has a malfunction, or the power window regulator master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly has a malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* When the power window regulator master switch assembly, power window regulator switch assembly and power window regulator motor assembly is reinstalled or replaced, the power window control system must be initialized Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
A -- Continue to next step.
2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream read the Data List.
Master Switch
OK:
On the Techstream screen, Not Detected is displayed.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the E8 power window regulator master switch assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the E5 power window regulator motor assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open):
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 1
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 2
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 3
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 4
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 5
Current D Sensor Fail Mode 6
Standard Resistance (Check for Short):

4. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the power window regulator motor assembly Removal.
(b) Inspect the power window regulator motor assembly Testing and Inspection.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily replace the power window regulator master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check the power window regulator master switch assembly operates Operation Check.
OK:
Driver door power window operates normally.
Result

6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Disconnect the F1 power window regulator motor assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

9. REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Temporarily replace the power window regulator switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.
(b) Check the power window regulator switch assembly operates Operation Check.
OK:
Front passenger side door power window operates normally.
