DTC B279C - Theft Deterrent System Presence Detection

DESCRIPTION

If an ECM that is incompatible with the engine immobiliser system is installed, the ECM stores this DTC.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE: If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID Engine Immobiliser System (W/O Smart Key System).

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Engine Immobilizer System (w/o Smart Key System).
(b) Recheck for DTCs Engine Immobilizer System (w/o Smart Key System).
OK:
DTC B279C is not output.

B -- REPLACE ECM
A -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK
