Instrument Cluster

General Information

The following components are integrated in the instrument cluster:

Instrument Cluster Control Module (J285)

Anti-Theft Immobilizer Control Module (J362)

Speedometer (G21)

Tachometer (G5)

Fuel gauge (G1)

Engine coolant temperature (ECT) gauge (G3)

Multi-function indicator (MFI)

To audibly support the visual displays of the instrument panel insert, the Instrument Cluster Control Module (J285) activates a warning buzzer.

All control lamps are equipped with Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs). Servicing the instrument cluster is not planned. In the event of malfunctions, the complete instrument cluster must be replaced. Refer to --> [ Instrument Cluster ] Instrument Cluster.

The Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface (J533) (Gateway) is designed as a separate control module and not a component of the instrument cluster as it is for various other vehicles. Refer to --> [ Data Bus On Board Diagnostic Interface ] Description and Operation.

DTC recognition and display

The instrument cluster is equipped with On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capabilities.

Use the "Guided Fault Finding" function on the for fault finding.
