Antenna: Testing and Inspection

Rear Side Window Aerial:





- Turn Ignition off.
- Undo aerial amplifier connection to rear side window





- Connect an ohmmeter across the ends of the AM aerial loop as in Image. Ohmmeter should read less than 12 Ohms.





- Connect an ohmmeter between either end of the AM aerial loop and the aerial connector. Ohmmeter should read less than 6 Ohms.





- Connect an ohmmeter between the ends of the FM aerial loop as shown in the Image. Ohmmeter should read less than 10 Ohms.





- Connect an ohmmeter between either end of the FM aerial loop and the FM aerial connector. Ohmmeter should read less than 5 Ohms.

If any reading is incorrect, repair rear side window aerial. Service and Repair If all readings are correct, replace aerial amplifier.
