Checking the central locking motors, side doors
Activation of locking motors, locking.
- Ignition on.
- Close all the side doors.
Activate the central lock motors.
All doors shall now lock.
Note! Vehicle not equipped with remote control has no lock motor in the driver's door. Locking/unlocking will not be performed for his door.
- Select 1 if the driver's door does not lock.
- Select 2 if the passenger door does not lock.
- Select 3 if the left rear door does not lock.
- Select 4 if the right rear door does not lock.
- Select 5 if no doors lock.
- Select OK if all doors lock.
Select one of the above options.
OK - No Fault Found
1 - Checking the connectors and cables driver's door
2 - Checking the connectors and leads, passenger door
3 - Checking the connectors and cables, rear door driver's side
4 - Checking the connectors and cables, rear door passenger side
5 - Checking the power supply

For vehicles without blocked lock position function:
Check the cable between the VGLA control module #B11(#37) and central lock motor's connector #1 as well as the cable between VGLA control module #B13 (#39) and central lock motor's connector #2 for open circuit according to: Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault
For vehicles with blocked lock position function:
Check the cable between the VGLA control module #B11(#37) and central lock motor's connector #1 as well as the cable between VGLA control module #B13 (#39) and central lock motor's connector #2 for open circuit according to: Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault
For vehicles with 2-stage unlocking:
Check the cable between the VGLA control module #B2(#28) and central lock motor's connector #2 as well as the cable between VGLA control module #A15 (#15) and central lock motor's connector #1 for open circuit according to: Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault

Checking the power supply
Check the fuse for central lock motors in relay/fuse box in the engine compartment.
Hint: If the fuse is defective, check the cable between the fuse and VGLA-control module #B1 (#27) for short-circuiting to ground according to: Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault
Check the cable between the fuse and VGLA-control module #B1 (#27) for open circuit according to: Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring And Terminals. Permanent Fault
Other information
- The voltage between the VGLA-control unit #B1 (#27) and ground shall be approx. the same as battery voltage.

- Reconnect the connectors, reinstall components etc.
- Ignition on.
- Close all the side doors.
Activate the central lock motors.
All doors shall now lock.
