Glove Box Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

1. Open the glove box.

2. Remove the passenger's dashboard side panel (A).
-1 Open the front door.
Gently pull the rear edge of the lid outward by hand to release the hooks (B).
-3 Detach the clips and the hooks (C) by pulling the panel outward.
Release the hooks (D, E).

4. Close the glove box.






5. Remove the bolts (A) and the screws (B).






6. Pull the glove box (A) by hand to detach the clips, disconnect the glove box light connector (B) and the trunk lid opener main switch connector (C), then remove the glove box.

7. Install the glove box in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

- Make sure each connector is plugged in properly.

- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
