Dashboard Side Vent Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program

NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard or the related parts.

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

- The driver's side vent is shown; the passenger's side vent is similar.

1. Driver's side: Remove the driver's dashboard side panel (A).
-1 Open the front door.
Pull the lower edge of the panel by hand to detach the lower clip (B).
-3 Gently pull the rear edge of the panel outward by hand to detach the clips (C) and the hooks (D).
Release the hooks (E, F).

2. Passenger's side: Open the glove box, then remove the passenger's dashboard side panel. Glove Box Removal/Installation






3. Release the clips under the dashboard side vent (A).
-1 Insert a flat-tip screwdriver through a hole in the driver's dashboard side panel opening.
While pushing on the inside clip (B) with a flat-tip screwdriver, carefully pull out the inside edge of the vent to release the upper tab (C).
-3 Repeat the preceding step at the outside clip (D) and the upper tab (E).






4. Remove the dashboard side vent (A).

5. Install the side vent in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged, replace them with new ones.

- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
