Heated/Cooled Cupholder Switch
HEATED/COOLED CUPHOLDER SWITCH
NOTE: NOTE: The heated/cooled cupholder has a low and high voltage cut-off feature that turns the cupholder off if vehicle voltage falls below 9.8 volts, or if voltage goes above 16.2 volts. Be certain to check the vehicle electrical system for proper operation anytime the heated/cooled cupholder appears inoperative.
1. Remove the heated/cooled cupholder switch (1) and place it on a workbench Heated/Cooled Cupholder Switch - Removal.
2. Using a Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM), check for continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 5 and no continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 6. If OK, go to STEP 3. If not OK, replace the switch.
3. Check for continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 2 and no continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 3. If OK, go to STEP 4. If not OK, replace the switch.
4. With the Hot button pressed, check for continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 6 and no continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 5. If OK, go to STEP 5. If not OK, replace the switch.
5. With the Cold button pressed, check for continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 3 and no continuity between Pin 4 and Pin 2. If OK, go to Heated/Cooled Cupholder. If not OK, replace the switch.
