Seat Removal/Installation

Special Tools Required

- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*

'06-09 Models

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations for the appropriate model:

- '00-05 models

Also review the precautions and procedures Technician Safety Information before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:

- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.

- Take care not to scratch the body or tear the seat covers.

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, Procedures then wait at least 3 minutes before beginning the work.

2. Passenger's: Detach the front seat belt lower anchor. Service and Repair

3. Passenger's: Remove the seat track and covers (A) from the front of both seat tracks.

4. Remove the seat as shown.

5. Install the seat in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Slip the seat belt through the slits in the seat belt guide properly.

- Make sure the seat belt switch, passenger's weight sensor unit, and the driver's seat position sensor connectors are plugged in properly.

- Apply medium strength liquid thread lock to the seat mounting bolts before reinstallation.

- Tighten the seat mounting bolts to the specified torque in the sequence shown. Slide the seat all the way back and tighten (1) and (2), then slide it forward and tighten (3) and (4).

- Tighten the bolts by hand first, then tighten them to specification with a torque wrench.

- Passenger's seat: Before attaching the front seat belt lower anchor, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the belts.

- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Procedures
