DTC DETECTION LOGIC

NOTE:
If DTC P2857 or P2859 is displayed with DTC UXXXX, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC UXXXX.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-1

Set the vehicle to READY with engine cool condition.
Does the engine start?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Proceed to .

3. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-2

1.Drive the vehicle.

CAUTION:
Always drive the vehicle at a safe speed.
2.Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
YES- Proceed to .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK DTC WITH ECM

Perform self-diagnosis of ECM. Consult Function.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Testing and Inspection.

2. CHECK DTC WITH TCM

Perform self-diagnosis of TCM. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 3.
NO- Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Testing and Inspection.

3. CHECK DTC WITH TRACTION MOTOR INVERTER

Perform self-diagnosis of traction motor inverter. Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 4.
NO- Perform trouble shooting relevant to DTC indicated. Testing and Inspection.

4. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR FUNCTION

With CONSULT
1.Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" using CONSULT.
2.Set the vehicle to READY and engine stop state.
3.Check that the "CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR" indication voltage as per the following condition.





Without CONSULT
1.Set the vehicle to READY and engine stop state.
2.Check the voltage between HPCM terminals as per the following condition.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Perform Intermittent Incident.
NO- GO TO 5.

5. CHECK HPCM GROUND

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect HPCM connector.
3.Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and ground.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 6.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

6. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT

1.Disconnect traction motor connector.
2.Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and traction motor harness connector.





3.Also check harness for short to ground and short to power.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 7.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

7. CHECK CLUTCH 1 STROKE SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the continuity between HPCM harness connector and traction motor harness connector.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 8.
NO- Repair or replace error-detected parts.

8. CHECK CLUTCH 1 DISC

Check clutch 1 disc thickness. Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace transmission assembly. Removal and Installation.
NO- Replace clutch disc and cover. Removal and Installation.
