P1572 - Improper Aiming of Radar Sensor Beam Axis

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is a problem with the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis adjustment.





HINT
If the beam axis deviates vertically by +/-2° or more and/or horizontally by +/-4° or more at a distance of 4.0 to 6.0 m (13 to 20 ft), this DTC is stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the millimeter wave radar sensor is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed Adjustments.

PROCEDURE

1. ADJUST MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR

(a) Refer to the adjustment Adjustments.

HINT
It is necessary to make the ECM recognize specification information (whether the vehicle is equipped with the dynamic radar or not). If this procedure has not been carried out, this DTC may be output.

2. CHECK DTC (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise / Trouble Code.

(b) Clear the DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

(c) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.

(2) Turn the cruise control main switch on to set the vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode to the standby state.

(d) Check for DTCs Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System.

OK:

DTC P1572 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR Removal
