Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning: Refer to SIR Warning (SIR Warning).

1. Remove the front seat from the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
2. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact module. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the seat back panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement).
4. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement).
5. Remove the head restraint guides. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement).




6. Remove the J-channels from the seat frame.




7. Remove the seat back cover and pad from the seat frame.
8. Remove the hog rings from the seat back pad.




9. Remove the seat back cover from the pad.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the seat back cover to the pad.
2. Install the hog rings to the seat back pad.




3. Install the seat back cover and pad to the seat frame.
4. Install the head restraint guides. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Guide Replacement).
5. Install the head restraint. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Head Restraint Replacement).




6. Install the J-channels to the seat frame.
7. Install the inflatable restraint side impact module. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the seat back panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Finish Panel Replacement).
9. Install the front seat in the vehicle. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket).
