1. Remove seat-surface extension fully.

Removing cover for front seat
Information
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown.
1. On vehicles with heated seats: Disconnect connector for seat heating.

1.1. Release electric plug connection for seat heating -1- ( -a- ) and pull it off -A-.
1.2. Release electric plug connection for seat heating for seat-surface extension -2- ( -b- ) and pull it off -B-.
2. Press in expansion rivet pin -1- and pull out the expansion rivet.

3. Detach the cover at the rear -2- ( -A- ).
4. Unscrew fastening screws -3- and pull the bracket -4- down out of the catches -B-.

5. Detach the cover at the sides -C-.

7. On vehicles with seat-surface extension: Detach the cover on the seat-surface extension -E-.
8. Press in expansion rivet pin -5- and pull out the expansion rivet.

9. Detach the cover at the rear -F-.
10. Detach the cover at the sides -G-.
11. Detach the cover at the rear -H-.

12. Pull the cover forward between the padding for the seat and backrest -I-.

13. On vehicles with seat-surface extension: Disengage seat extension straps at both sides.

13.1. Lift up padding for rear seat.
13.2. Push back the bar -1- on the cover -A-.
13.3. Disengage strap for seat-surface extension -2- and guide it through in a downward direction -B-.
14. Remove seat cover together with the padding from the seat frame.
Installing cover for front seat
Information
- Fasten covering to the padding, starting from the middle.
- Do so in the following sequence: middle, top/bottom, left/right.
1. Fit seat cover with padding on the seat frame.
2. On vehicles with seat-surface extension: Engage seat extension straps at both sides.

2.1. Lift up padding for rear seat.
2.2. Guide seat-surface extension strap -2- through from top to bottom -A- and slide it onto the bar -B-.
2.3. Slide the bar -1- through the seat-surface extension strap -2- and the tab on the cover -3-.
3. Pull the cover back between the padding for the seat and backrest -C-.

4. Attach the cover at the rear -D-.

5. Attach the cover at the rear -E-.

6. Attach the cover at the sides -F-.
Information
The expansion rivets must be replaced during installation and must not be re-used.
7. Fit expansion rivet -4-.
8. Attach the cover at the front -G-.

9. On vehicles with seat-surface extension: Attach the cover on the seat-surface extension -H-.
10. Attach the cover at the sides -I-.

11. Engage the bracket -6- from below -J-.

12. Tighten fastening screws -5- to => Tightening torque: 7.5 Nm (5.5 ftlb.).
Information
The expansion rivets must be replaced during installation and must not be re-used.
13. Fit expansion rivet -7-.
Securing cover at the rear
14. Attach cover at the rear -8- ( -K- ).
15. On vehicles with heated seats: Plug in connector for seat heating.

15.1. Plug in electric plug connection for seat heating -1- ( -A- ) until the connector engages securely.
15.2. Plug in electric plug connection for seat heating for seat-surface extension -2- ( -B- ) until the connector engages securely.
Replacing cover for front seat
1. On vehicles with seat-surface extension: Remove padding for seat-surface extension.
2. Cut open cushion clips -circles- with side cutters and remove the cover from the padding.

3. Fit the cover and align it with the contour of the padding.
Information
- Fasten covering to the padding, starting from the middle.
- Do so in the following sequence: middle, top/bottom, left/right.
4. Fasten the cover to the padding using cushion clip pliers Nr.130 and new cushion clips -circles-.
