WARNING

Hot fluid

- Danger of scalding

-> Let the fluid cool down.
-> Wear personal protective gear.

Information

- The vehicle must stand horizontally.

Information

The oil level can only be checked after the vehicle has been idle for 45 minutes.

The engine must not be started during this time.

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-.

2. The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window.

Information

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

3. If this is not the case, fill with oil. -> 399035 Checking and topping up oil for transfer gear - section on "Topping up"
4. Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with a new sealing ring. => Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)

Information

The oil used during servicing must not be mixed with the oil that is first filled into the transfer gear. If the oil needs to be changed, drain the oil completely -> 399035 Changing oil for transfer gear - section on "Changing" Testing and Inspection and then fill in new oil.

1. Unscrew oil inspection plug -1-.

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

2. Fill in oil using manual metering pump WE 1372 up to the lower edge of the oil inspection plug -1-.
3. Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with a new sealing ring. => Tightening torque: 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
