Preliminary work

1. Remove front right wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Removing" Service and Repair

Information

Collect windscreen washer system fluid in a suitable container.

Information

Check rubber sleeves, clips and water reservoir and replace them if necessary.





Installation position of reservoir for windscreen washer system

1. Pull water pipe off the connection on the pump for the headlight cleaning system. -> 927819 Removing and installing pump for headlight cleaning system - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
2. Collect any emerging fluid in a suitable container.
3. Unscrew fastening screw on the filler tube for the reservoir.

4. Unclip filler tube from the body and pull it out of the reservoir.

5. Support bottom part of reservoir with your hand and unscrew the two fastening screws on the reservoir -1-.

6. Unclip electric line at the reservoir.
7. Release and pull off electric plug connections -1, 2, 3-.

8. Release the two water pipes from the connections at the pump for the windscreen washer system and pull them off. -> 925619 Removing and installing pump for windscreen washer system - section on "Removing" Service and Repair
9. Disengage the reservoir and remove it sideways.

Information

Check rubber sleeves, clips and water reservoir and replace them if necessary.

1. Check that water pipes and electric lines are routed properly.
2. Fit the two water pipes and the clips on the connections at the pump for the windscreen washer system. -> 925619 Removing and installing pump for windscreen washer system - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
3. Fit the water pipe and clip on the connection at the pump for the headlight cleaning system.
4. Plug in electric plug connections -1, 2, 3- until they engage securely.

5. Engage the reservoir in the body.
6. Secure the reservoir to the body with the two fastening screws -1-.

7. Slide filler neck into the reservoir using soap suds. Clip in filler neck at the body and secure with the fastening screw.

8. Clip electric line into the reservoir.

Subsequent work

1. Install front right wheel housing liner. -> 505619 Removing and installing front wheel housing liner - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
