Intermittent faults
If the symptoms arise intermittently so that the engine starts and runs normally at the time of the test, the Volvo System Tester can offer the required assistance.

Preconditions for troubleshooting:
All fault codes have been dealt with.

Checking the throttle switch
- Adjust the throttle switch according to RC. Adjustment of the throttle switch. RC. Adjustment of Throttle Switch

If no faults are discovered:

- Connect the System Tester to both Rex-I and Regina according to P. Connection of Volvo System Tester. P. Running Test Volvo System Tester
- Check the idle switch functions according to Q. Monitor test. Q. Monitor Test Volvo System Tester
- Deal with any fault messages in the Running test according to PA. Fault message table for the Running test. PA. Fault Message Table For Running Test
