F8 Checking Signal Cable

F8 Checking signal cable to central locking relay
- Switch off ignition.





- remove central locking relay D/G.




- Connect an ohmmeter between cable harness 5-pin connector pos. 3 and relay base terminal pos. ATR.
The ohmmeter should show approx. 0 Ohms.




- Connect an ohmmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 3 in cable harness 5-pin connector. Ohmmeter should indicate infinite resistance.




- Connect a voltmeter between pos. 1 and pos. 3 in the cable harness 5-pin connector. The voltmeter should indicate approx. 0 V.

If all readings are OK:
- Continue to F9. F9 Checking the Transmitter's Battery

If reading is incorrect:
Open circuit or short circuit in the receiver unit signal cable between cable harness 5-pin connector pos. 3 and relay base terminal pos. ATR.
- Correct fault or replace receiver module signal cable.
Replace central locking relay D/G.
