Upholstery backrest cushion center (second row), replacing

Removing the center seat (second row)





Remove:
- the battery lead according to: Battery, disconnecting Battery Disconnecting
- the outer seat according to: Upholstery backrest cushion outer (second row) Upholstery Backrest Cushion Outer (Second Row).




Disconnect the connector under the seat.
Remove the 4 side pieces on the seat over the screws.
Pull the front side pieces straight forward to detach them.




Pull the rear side pieces upwards to detach them.
Remove the 4 screws.
Lift out the seat.

Removing the upholstery from the center backrest cushion (second row)





Remove:
- the head restraint
- the 2 screws for the seat belt bracket.




Fold out the weatherstrip from the channel in the rear section.
Remove the upholstery.




Fold up the upholstery.

Remove:
- the 3 screws
- the rear section.




- the guide sleeves for the head restraint.
Press in the catches.
Pull the guide sleeves straight up.





Remove:
- the upholstery / cushion from the seat frame
- the upholstery from the cushion.
Detach the upholstery from the clip in the cushion.

Installing service clips
Install the service clips according to: Service clips, installing Service Clips, Installing

Installing the upholstery on the center backrest cushion (second row)





Install:
- the upholstery for the cushion
- the rear section on the backrest frame
- the 3 screws. Tighten
- the upholstery / cushion on the backrest frame.
Fold in the weatherstrip into the channel in the rear section.
Start with the upper molding, then the lower molding and finally the moldings on the sides.

Install:
- the guide sleeves for the head restraint
- the bracket for the seat belt
- the 2 screws. Tighten
- the head restraint.

Installing the center seat (second row)
Lift in the seat.

Install:
- the connector under the seat
- the 4 M10 screws. Tighten
- the side pieces over the screws
- the outer seat according to: Upholstery backrest cushion outer (second row) Upholstery Backrest Cushion Outer (Second Row).
