Preliminary work

Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Assembly work must only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche.
- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed.
- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts.

Wire harness in passenger compartment at the left:
1. Detach the rear carpet and fold it aside.
2. Release and unplug electric plug connection -1- for lateral-acceleration sensor at the C-pillar.

4. Release and unplug electric plug connection -5- for rear left TPM transmitter. -> 443619 Removing and installing transmitter (trigger) for Tyre Pressure Monitoring system (TPM) - section on "Removing"

6. Release and unplug electric plug connection -8- for front left seat-belt pretensioner. -> 691119 Removing and installing front three-point belt - section on "Removing" 691119 Removing and installing front three-point belt
7. Unscrew fastening nut from ground point -9- on the B-pillar.
8. Release and unplug electric plug connection -10- for rear left door connection point. -> 585119 Removing and installing rear door - section on "Removing" 585119 Removing and Installing Rear Door
9. Unclip bracket for plug socket for rear door connection point -10- and pull wiring inwards.
10. Loosen fastening points in the passenger compartment at the left.

10.1. Loosen fixing clips -1- under the rear seat.
10.2. Release wire harness from the cable duct -2- under the rear seat.
10.3. Pull rubber sleeve -3- for line for the rear left TPM transmitter inwards.
10.4. Pull rubber sleeve -4- for line to the fuel pump inwards.
10.5. Disconnect pressure line for the levelling system -5- from the bracket on the cable duct.
10.6. Release cable duct -6- from the underbody.
10.7. Pull rubber sleeve -7- for line for the TPM control unit inwards.
10.8. Loosen fixing clips -8- for line for the rear left door connection point.
10.9. Release cable duct -9- from the underbody.
Wire harness in dashboard area:
11. Unscrew fastening nut from ground point -12- on the A-pillar.
12. Release and unplug electric plug connection -13- for the front door connection point. -> 575119 Removing and installing front door - section on "Removing"
13. Unclip bracket for plug socket for front door connection point -13- and pull wiring inwards.
14. Release and unplug electric plug connection -14- for ParkAssist control unit.
15. Loosen fuse carrier -16- at the A-pillar.
16. Detach relay module -17- at the A-pillar.

18. Detach relay module -27- next to the accelerator pedal.

20. Release and unplug electric plug connection -30- for the accelerator pedal. -> 208055 Replacing accelerator pedal module Service and Repair
21. Loosen fastenings in the dashboard area.

21.1. Disconnect wire harness from bracket behind the dashboard at the left -10-.
21.2. Disconnect wire harness from bracket behind the dashboard at the centre -11-.

1. First lay the main wire harness loosely, ensuring that it is positioned correctly.

2. Fit fastening points in the passenger compartment at the left.
2.1. Secure fixing clips -1- under the rear seat.
2.2. Secure wire harness in the cable duct -2- under the rear seat.
2.3. Fit rubber sleeve -3- for line for the rear left TPM transmitter.
2.4. Fit rubber sleeve -4- for line for the fuel pump.
2.5. Secure pressure line for the levelling system -5- in the bracket on the cable duct.
2.6. Secure cable duct -6- to the underbody.
2.7. Fit rubber sleeve -7- for line for the TPM control unit.
2.8. Secure fixing clips -8- for line for the rear left door connection point.
2.9. Secure cable duct -9- to the underbody.
3. Loosen fastenings in the dashboard area.
3.1. Secure wire harness in bracket behind the dashboard at the left -10-.
3.2. Secure wire harness in bracket behind the dashboard at the centre -11-.
4. Tighten fastening nut on ground point on the B-pillar -9- to => Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.).
5. Tighten fastening nut on ground point on the A-pillar -12- to => Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.).
6. Plug in electric plug connections -1 - 10- in the interior until they engage securely.
7. Plug in electric plug connections -13 - 43- in the dashboard area until they engage securely.
8. Fit and secure the rear carpet.
Subsequent work
1. Install the fuel tank and fit cover on left fuel pump. -> 201019 Removing and installing fuel tank - section on "Installing" Removal and Replacement
2. Install cover for centre underbody at the left. -> 519319 Removing and installing cover for centre underbody - section on "Installing" Service and Repair
